Pope Francis does not authorize priestly ordination of married men proposed by the majority of bishops during Amazon Synod.

The pope says that the peoples of the Amazon have the right to have the Gospel proclaimed to them. Otherwise,"each ecclesial structure will become one more NGO."

Pope Francis believes missionary work is a useful experience for young priests aspiring to be pontifical representatives.

He committed to it at the end of the last synod.
